The Centre for Tax Governance at the University of Birmingham is pleased to announce its fourth conference to be held on the 30th of January 2018 entitled Taxation for society: A responsible view of tax compliance. The conference´s theme relates to corporate/ personal/ professional/ political responsibility in tax compliance in different settings. We have two keynote speakers: Dieter Zinnbauer from Transparency International who will set the agenda by exploring key issues in the topic. This will be followed by our second keynote speaker, Professor Alan Muller from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, who will present further developments on the work Responsible tax as Corporate Social Responsibility. Additional presentations include Political responsibility in tax compliance, International tax planning and CSR, Ethical behaviour of tax professionals in the UK; Gender in responsible compliance, amongst others.
