SUMMARY:TRN 25 - Nottingham 8-10th Sept 2025
DESCRIPTION:The 34th Annual Tax Research Network Conference will be held on 8-10th September 2025 at Nottingham University Business School – for full details\, see https://taxresearch.network/trn25-nottingham/. \nRegistration has closed for the TRN25.  \nIf you are a currently registered PhD student (full-time only) you can qualify for a heavily subsidised rate as part of the CIOT sponsorship we have for this event. Please select the relevant PhD option below if this applies to you (please note that this will be validated). \nThe conference rates include full entry to the event on the chosen days\, including all catering during the working days (and the conference dinner on the evening of 8th Sept if this extra is chosen as part of your booking)\, car parking and Wi-Fi. However\, no accommodation or travel is included in these rates – this must be arranged by yourself directly. \nPlease note that spaces at the conference dinner are limited and cannot be extended once capacity is reached so\, please book this early to guarantee a place. \nEvening meals on the 9th of September are by your own arrangement. \nIf you have any questions on the booking process\, please contact the conference organisers (contact details provided in the link above to the full conference details). \n\nIn addition to the highly discounted PhD rates\, we have a small number of PhD fee waivers for in person presenters. To apply for a fee waiver\, please send an email to amy.lawton@ed.ac.uk. Priority will be given to PhD students who are not in full-time employment. \nThere is also some limited support to cover travel and accommodation costs for PhD students and Early Career Academics in post for less than two years. It is unlikely that this support will cover all your costs and there are strict upper limits on what we can reimburse. Direct conference costs have risen considerably this year\, and the fees have already been heavily subsidised. This support operates as a reimbursement and priority will be given to PhD students who are not in full-time employment. \nFor further information on this support (including how to apply)\, please email our Treasurer\, Phyllis Alexander (palexander@bournemouth.ac.uk) with an estimate of your costs before Monday 21st July 2025. \n\nWe are unable to process refunds once a booking has been completed.
