Registration for the TRN 2022 conference is now open online.
The conference will take place between the 5th and 7th September 2022 in person and online. You can register as an in person or virtual delegate. The deadline for registering in person (as a non-presenter) is the 31st July 2022. For presenters, please confirm your attendance by registering by the 10th June.
Venue
The TRN 2022 will be held in Old College, the home of Edinburgh Law School at the University of Edinburgh.
There will an online stream running for part of the conference where our virtual presenters will give their papers and in person sessions will be streamed for our virtual attendees.
Programme
The first two days will be dedicated to tax research, with 45 research papers planned across the two days – our fullest programme to date! We will have keynotes to end each day: further details on this will come in due course as the full programme will be released once the speakers have been confirmed.
We are delighted to announce that there will be a conference dinner this year at St Leonard’s Hall. The dinner will take place on Monday 5th September and you can book your ticket when you register. We will also have a drinks reception following the keynote on Tuesday 6th September.
Accommodation
Edinburgh is notoriously difficult for accommodation, so we would recommend booking your hotel sooner rather than later. The Law School is located near the Royal Mile, so the following chain hotels are within easy walking distance to Old College:
- Ibis Edinburgh Centre South Bridge
- Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh
- Travelodge Edinburgh Central
- Radisson Blu Edinburgh
- Jurys Inn Edinburgh
- Hub Premier Inn Royal Mile
There is also a large number of boutique and independent hotels in the vicinity of Old College.
Travel
Edinburgh Waverley train station is a nine-minute walk from Old College. Edinburgh Airport is linked to the city by a tram service.
The city also has Uber and a number of taxi services.
Support for PhD students
There are a limited number of registration fee waivers for PhD students. If you are a PhD student, please email law.events@ed.ac.uk to enquire. There may also be a limited amount of travel and accommodation support available to non-presenter PhD students to enable you to attend this conference. Please email palexander@bournemouth.ac.uk to enquire – the deadline for this is the 30th June.
